Job Description
Job Overview:
United King is hiring a Deputy Manager – Planning & Logistics to oversee the efficient and timely supply of raw and packaging materials, warehouse operations, and outbound logistics for finished goods across retail and institutional channels. The role ensures adherence to food safety standards and cost-effective logistics while maintaining product freshness and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily warehousing operations: storage, FIFO, hygiene, pest control (aligned with food safety standards)
- Plan material requirements for raw/packaging based on production schedules and forecasts
- Oversee inventory control, periodic counts, and variance analysis
- Manage inbound/outbound logistics and ensure timely, damage-free deliveries
- Handle cold chain logistics for perishables (e.g., cakes), including temperature monitoring
- Coordinate with third-party transporters, fleet vendors, and delivery teams to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Work with Quality Assurance and Audit teams on compliance with ISO, SFA, HACCP standards
- Optimize transport routes, delivery schedules, and logistics costs
- Generate MIS reports on stock levels, KPIs, and consumption for decision-making
- Participate in recruitment and training of logistics and warehouse staff
- Lead process improvement projects related to cost reduction and waste minimization
- Ensure legal and safety compliance in logistics
- Review inventory levels regularly without disrupting production or sales
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing, bakery, or FMCG logistics
- Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management software, and logistics tools
- Strong knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, and food safety standards
