Job Description
Job Overview:
Ombre Apparel is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager Marketing & Merchandising for its Knits Division. The successful candidate will lead the marketing and merchandising functions to drive customer account growth, build a robust customer portfolio, ensure timely order execution, and foster strong client relationships. This role involves close collaboration with Product Development (PD), Production, Planning, and Industrial Engineering (IE) teams to meet customer expectations in quality, cost, and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve revenue, profitability, innovation, and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Portfolio Management: Develop and expand customer accounts while maintaining strong relationships.
- Order Execution: Ensure timely and efficient execution of orders, meeting quality and delivery standards.
- Product Development: Drive innovation and product development initiatives in alignment with market trends.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with PD, Production, Planning, and IE teams to optimize processes and meet customer requirements.
- Costing & Pricing: Oversee product costing, pricing strategies, and order management to maximize profitability.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: BSc./MSc. in Textile Engineering or MBA (Marketing/Supply Chain preferred).
- Experience: 7-8 years of relevant experience in marketing, merchandising, or related roles within the garment/textile industry.
Core Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing, fabric types, and textile processes.
- Proficiency in product costing, pricing strategies, and order management.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
