Job Description

About the Role

Sabroso is seeking an experienced and proactive HSE professional to join its team as Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – HSE at the processing plant. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in occupational health, safety, and environmental management to strengthen compliance and enhance workplace safety standards.

 

Qualifications

  • BSc / MSc

 

Certifications

  • IOSH, NEBOSH, and OSHAS
  • Exposure to SMETA will be an added advantage

 

Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience (preferably from the food or textile industry)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and enforce comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards, evaluate risks, and establish control measures to minimize accidents.
  • Carry out workplace inspections and process audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and environmental policies.
  • Design and deliver HSE training programs to improve awareness of hazards, safe practices, and emergency preparedness.
  • Oversee fire safety systems, manage emergency response planning, and conduct safety drills.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce adherence to safety protocols.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager to support overall safety and compliance objectives.
